What's totally awesome? Let me tell you. A brand new Macbook for christmas is totally awesome! (That i'm posting on RIGHT NOW) The only bad part of it is I have to share it with Tony...oh its ok. At least I even have one. We'll even have a schedule. (LOL) Christmas was nice, as it always is. We opened stockings and presents, had a great time, went to brunch at World Resort then spent about an hour at my grandpas house. It was fun :)

Jaime Lynn Spears is pregnant at 16!!! I got this information from msn.com. She tells OK! magazine that she’s pregnant and the father is her longtime boyfriend 19 year old Casey Aldridge. “It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected,” she says. “I was in complete total shock and so was he.”
I think its really sad. She is the star of Zoey 101 and I wonder how this will affect the show. It’s one of my favorite shows. I also think that this is completely ridiculous. Their so young ages and it’s not right.

I am at my dad's work. WIC ( Women, Infants, and Children) program. I'm just looking around on the internet and stuff. I've had christmas break since Monday! I haven't been doing anything just watching tv, on the internet... Pretty cool... Nothing interesting has been happening.

Dear Santa,
I have a really big christmas wish. It's that my dad doesn't get deployed, so he won't have to leave to Iraq. He'll be safe and we won't be worried or hurt anymore. My dad should be home with his family instead in danger everyday in the deserts of Iraq. All the families going through this don't deserve this. It's not fair. If he does go, I hope he still will be safe. I will pray for him every night and all the other families. It's terrible that he has to go and i'm sure we will all go through a lot of pain. Please help all of us Santa. I couldn't ask for anything else.
Sincerely,
Hope

How many of you have eaten at the new Taco Bell? I am eating it right now at this very moment. I ordered 2 chalupas and 1 Taco. Even though it took 30 minutes to get it, (the line) it was worth it! While we were waiting for our food, Tony said " I think we should come at an awkward time so we can avoid the line." "Like 9:44, nobody thinks about eating at 9:44." I thought that was really funny!
Think outside the bun.
What is this man thinking?

I wish I would have taken pictures of these, but I didn't have the camera :(.
Koshiji Jr. High school students from Japan came to my school for a cultural exchange. My partners name was Miho Yamamato. She was really nice. It was so fun! We had field activities and an exchange of gifts. It was hard and kind of fun trying to talk to them. ( They didn't understand english.) They always had a what the heck is she saying? look on their faces. This was the first cultural exchange i've had since second grade! It's a great experience.

The MCS (Mount Carmel School) christmas program was fun! 1st to 12th grade had awesome preformances. My class, ( 7th grade) dance to jingle bell rock and sung a chamorro christmas song. I'm so glad that the program was at night, it wasn't THAT hot.

Next month my dad is leaving to Iraq. I feel scared, sad, and angry. I keep thinking of what it will be like to have him...gone. I still am trying to believe that what he told me is true, if it is really happening. I remember him telling me months ago that it's a possibility. Now its all happening so fast. I never thought that I would have to worry about it until now. These are the two questions always going through my mind. Why him? Why now? I feel shocked and its not fair for this to be a surprise attack on all of us. I'm really going to miss my dad and so is everyone else. It will be so hard. I feel bad for him because he was really drained and sad and frustrated. He had to tell his whole family in one day. I can imagine talking on the phone with him and him being so tired. I know that there will be e-mails, and letters, and packages from him. It will still not be the same. For Christmas my wish is that he doesn't have to leave. At least he will be here for Christmas. The one thing I can't imagine is him missing birthday parties, Christmas, Easter, and all the other great things we do together as a family.

Ok, I know this is kinda late but here's the things my family and I did this thanksgiving break.
First, thanksgiving night, we headed over to my grandpas house for a nice thanksgiving dinner. It was ok, and we took some pictures but I don't have them right now.
***
This dinner was really fun. We ate dinner with Mr. Galvin and his family at Aquarius. Me, Tony, Victoria, and William played Wii and talked while the grown-ups were talking. The food was great. We stayed there from like 7:00 to 12:00. It was really fun.
Oh, and here is a nice and funny thanksgiving prayer.
A Thanksgiving Day Prayer
By Scott Wesemann
Lord, so often times, as any other day, when we sit down to our meal and pray. We hurry along and make fast the blessing. Thanks, amen. Now please pass the dressing. We're slaves to the olfactory overload. We must rush our prayer before the food gets cold, but Lord, I'd like to take a few minutes more, to really give thanks to what I'm thankful for. For my family, my health, a nice soft bed. My friends, my freedom, a roof over my head. I'm thankful right now to be surrounded by those whose lives touch me more than they'll ever possibly know. Thankful Lord, that You've blessed me beyond measure. Thankful that in my heart lives life's greatest treasure. That You, dear Jesus, reside in that place, and I'm ever so grateful for Your unending grace. So please, heavenly Father, bless this food You've provided and bless each and every person invited. Amen!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!
First is my dads birthday. He turned 39 yesterday November 20. (Sorry I hope you don't mind me giving out your age.) No, dad you're not getting old.
Here's to you dad...
I love you so much. Everything you've done for us has been wonderful. Thank you for all the sacrifices you have made for your family. I am so glad to be blessed with such a great and caring father. You have always been there when I needed you. That shows how great of a person you are. I hope that you felt very special on your birthday because you are very special to everyone who loves and cares about you.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

My fish who I haven't named since it died the first day I got it...
0 comments Posted by hope leilani <3 at 1:45 AMOK...
Once upon a time a girl named Hope was strolling around dollar days looking for party stuff for her godsisters birthday. She looked at an aquarium that read " Fish for sale. 1$ each." She decided it would be cool to buy one and see what it would be like. She bought it some food and brang it to her aunties house. She ate, watched some tv, and left her aunties house forgetting about the fish. She called her aunties house and asked to bring it to the BBQ they were having at grandmas house. She waited, used the computer, thought about the name, then her auntie and uncle came. She found out that her fish died because the water it was in spilled:(... Anyways, her uncle would have forgot it anyway.)
HAHA. What a funny TRUE story. It was my fault for forgetting the fish so it's ok for killing it auntie Yvette. :)... Although i'm still sad about its death:(

Oh m gee. I am missing my mommy and daddy. Yes, I admit it. Today is halloween. There was an NJHS fun fair. It was awesome and MCV was there! Watch the news! The best part, I think, is when theatre club previewed This Is Halloween and Sally's song.

Well, last night I had the worst stomachache ever. I threw up at 7. Went to bed at 7:30. Woke up at 10 and threw up. Then slept. Then woke up at five and threw up AGAIN. I am at school now, it's lunch and I threw up in the girl's bathroom right before pre-algebra. I'm in the library just in case your wondering. It sucks. I have never been this sick before. I don't want to go home...

High school building. 7:00 admission though. YIKES!

Today high school had a cultural exchange with the students of Lino High Schoo in Japan. Our schedule was all messed up. It was so annoying. It was also annoying middle school wasn't included and didn't get a partner, but we did say hi to Japanese students.

AHHH MAN! Report card is tomorrow! I have confidence that I got good grades in all my subjects...except... PRE-ALGEBRA. Oh my gosh I have to face my parents and teacher and NJHS (National Junior Honor Soceity advisors with my grade. Holy cow. What really sucks is during report card I HAVE to help distribute report cards.

OK, last but not least. I'm writing about the bake sale from the eigth graders of Ms. Zens class. Everything was great!!! Um...except I didn't know why there were pancakes. There were ice keki, cupcakes, cookies...oh, and I have to give credit to the person who made the lady fingers. Saipan Writer! Thankss for making those they were deliciouso.

You know, I noticed the only places to hang out for kids are the movies. I really don't know where else to go. I wish that there was a really cool place for people to go. Instead of building a Casino. I am sometimes mad I don't have a choice. There could be something fun for all ages that would attract tourists and be really fun for locals. Like a mini theme park. For example an arcade or a mini golf course. I'm sure many people would enjoy it. Saipan definitely needs something like that.

Here's my mom and dad at the Red Cross dinner. I just thought that this was a really nice picture. I am so grateful for my parents and everything they do for me and the rest of the family. I love you Mom and Dad! I appreciate everything you've done.
-Oh, and thanks Jeff for taking that great picture :)
Mount Carmel School Theatre club is going to present Tim Burtons "The Nightmare Before Christmas." I am production assistant and assistant choreographer for the play. I have recently been going to rehearsals and sometimes I even get to direct. This play will be great. I think it will in a few months.
Did MY name get called on the speaker?!...Theatre sports
2 comments Posted by hope leilani <3 at 12:51 AMOk. So, at lunch today I was waiting to get my lunch delivered. It wasn't there so I left the office. As I was walking I heard this. " Hope Gomez please report to the high school office, Hope Gomez please report to the high school office." It was embarrasing. LOL. Everyone thought I was in trouble but it was only my lunch.

Today was theatre sports. A dollar fee. I looked in my pockets for money but I was broke, and I didn't really know about it. So I thought it was regular sports so I stayed in class. I missed a lot, but it got to the point where I was so bored I couldn't take it anymore! I got a dollar and went there the last 10 miutes. Gosh Darnit! It was soooo funny! I should have been there earlier. It was like a Who's Line Is It Anyway game played by the high schoolers!

Me, my mom, and my sister Peyton read The Great Kapok Tree and then make a list of all the things we can do to keep our environment beautiful.
Here's the list
1. Give our plants water to help them grow.
2. Spread the word about the importance of trees.
3. Plant more trees
4. Write on the back side of your paper.
5. Recycle paper. Use old paper for scratch paper.
6. Try to save old trees around new construction.
7. Reuse grocery bags or bring your own.

Ok, so I went to San Vicente this morning to do the Middle School Forensic Leauge. I came unprepared and not knowing where the heck my coach was. 10 minutes before my time to present, I gave up. I had no idea if I was signed in, couldn't bring myself to the room, and didn't have enough time to practice. I waited about 30 minutes for my mom to come pick me up. (I didn't know why she took so long). When she FINALLY picked me up we went shopping for her clothes at Papaya and a store thats called...um...I think Incense. After we went to the Garapan Elementary School cafeeria for about an hour and then came home. So here I am typing about my long day. I am exhausted. Well, thats all can think of to blog about.

Survey: More Americans know Big Mac ingredients than Ten Commandments
0 comments Posted by hope leilani <3 at 11:53 PMDid you know more americans know the big mac ingredients from mcdonalds than the ten commandments??? Did you know that even those who go to church every week had trouble naming all the commandments? They easily named the ingredients in a big mac when asked. Two all beef patties, lettuce, sesame-seed bun, sauce, pickles, and cheese. "You shall not kill" in the ten commandments was known to less than six. "Honor your father and mother" (45 percent). "You shall not kill" (69 percent). " You shall not steal" ( 76-79 percent).

I finished reading "Hatchet" by Gary Paulsen. I love it and think it is exciting and adventurous. Hatchet is definitely one of the best books I ever read. It made me really feel how that character felt. The things that happen are so real its like its actually happening to me.
Here is something from the book to tell you more about the story.
ABOUT THE BOOK
"Thirteen-year-old Brian Robeson is on route to spending the summer with his father when the pilot on the single engine plane in which he is flying has a heart attack. The plane crashes in a lake in the Canadian wilderness, leaving Brian alone in the woods with nothing but the clothes on his back and a hatchet his mother had given him. During the fifty four days that Brian lives in the wilderness, he learns to read nature, conquer his fears, rely on his own ingenuity, and deal with the haunting secret that caused his parents' recent divorce. He comes of age in the woods, but in ways he never expected. He is no longer angry at his parents, and he realizes that self pity has no positive effect on his life. He is a survivor, and that is what makes him a man."

Today after lunch at Saipan Grand Hotel me and my family took a nice ride on the chicken bus We went to Fiesta and back to Grand. It was fun and kind of weird. :) My baby sister Sommer enjoyed it and she loved the sound of the chickens when the driver pushed the button. That was our first time on the chicken bus.

I have been reading a really cool book. The title is "Hatchet." I like it because he gos through a lot of things. He gets stranded and faces a lot of different challenges. I admire his determination. This story is a true adventure and all the things happening seem completely real. Its amazing how he finds his way and barely gets by his plane crash to visit his dad.

Mom: No
Me: Why?
Mom: Because I said so.
Me: Doesn't that mean you don't have a good answer?
